I am just getting into the trade and I have a job of installing a shower.
The client has already removed the tiles so the surface is very uneven, so I was intending to use some type of board to cover the area before retiring.
The choices I am looking at are:
- Hardie backer board
- Aquapanal
- Marmox
- Plaster board (moisture resistant)
Any advice on which one and the best way of mounting it to a solid brick (partly plastered) wall?
In addition. The area was a wet room. The floor tile have been taken up and the concrete surrounding the old trap has been dug out. Do I put the board on the walls first and then line up the new trap, fill the hold in the floor and then self level or is there another sequence?
