After shying away from wetrooms (on the first floors) for years, I did my first one last year where the shower area had to be raised slightly (long story concerning sloping floors and new joists etc)
Anyway, I used the Mappiea (don't know how it's spelled) system and followed the instructions to the letter
I always use backer board in any wet areas, be it around a bath with a shower or a shower enclosure
What systems are you guys using and why is it preferable over others
