Hi I’m buying a house which has a loft conversion and en suite. Inside there is a toilet connected to a normal waste pipe but the shower and sink are connected to a Saniflo system. I wondered why the previous owner might have done it this way? Why might only the sink and shower be connected to Saniflo but not the loo? What’s the point of that? Thanks for your help!

With the shower it might be to do with the height of the pipe at the shower end and then getting a fall on the pipe and with the basin perhaps they couldn`t figure a good way to make a clean connection. People do strange things.

Strange one that as normally it's the wc that needs the saniflo. Possibly something structural that cant be seen.

Maybe, just maybe the basin & shower were added afterwards and whoever did the work didn`t want to connect into the 4"pipe or maybe the joists run the wrong way?
