Was reading about a sparks changing a shower over on another forum and thought I would share the story.

So he is there doing some rewiring whilst the customer is away on holiday and agreed he would change the shower for them. He found the stop valve under the sink and tested by opening the kitchen sink tap - All good he thought but when he started removing the shower he found all was not good resulting in him getting very wet and bricking it when the shower tray started to almost overflow.

He now knows about cold water tanks

I also fear the unknown cable. The notches in my cable cutter bares witness to the times its kissed a live conductor. In practice, unless lucky to be working alongside allied trades, we all have to stretch boundaries to complete work. Try replacing a 3 port valve or circulating pump, invoicing client, and telling they also need to pay an electrician to complete the wiring.
