Hi. I replaced a rad for a friend, same room, different wall. Filled system, bled rads, all working apart from new rad. I've tried shutting down all rads and bypass but still nothing. Pipe is roasting down flow to trv, then nothing. Tried shutting trv and pulling water through the "return " via the vent. Which got the rad hot but cools down fairly quickly once I've shut off vent. They assure me that the previous rad was working fine. I'm just wondering wether anyone has ever had new valves which have failed them before I pull the floor up to check to see wether it has been piped up correctly. Thanks.
