Brilliant stuff. Especially the crystal clear stuff.
We don't like you messing about with gas or gas appliances unless you is a properly qualified GSR. And yes, removing the case can constitute gas work!

Used ct1 a couple of times with good results for leaks thats are weeks to lower pressure on a sealed system.

It's great stuff but i never use it as a sealant around baths or showers as it's a bugger to get off. I last used it on an old plastic clip boss which was on cast soil pipe which was leaking which worked a treat.

Could only get ct1 from plumbase round here. Sadly they no longer stock it.
Have switched to a oroduct called adiseal now.
Which is pretty much exactly the same stuff.

Have used it for a good few yrs now, good stuff
Only problem is if you trowel off with your finger, and not a tool, it can cause the clear to yellow/discolour
I had a chat to the rep and moaned at him about the discolouring and he shot me down in flames about using my finger and not a tool to finish it
Something about the oils in the skin apparently It sounded plausible so I couldn't argue with him
IIRC they do a tanking solution too which looked pretty good, anyone used it?

Sometimes it's better to keep your mouth shut and be thought stupid, than to open it and remove all doubt
