Hi there,

I’ve recently moved into my new house and as the weather has been bad this week I’ve noticed water leaking through the porch coming from the entry point of the soil pipe. I went up to check the roof of the porch and seen that the pipe didn’t seem properly sealed (see attached image). Just looking for suggestions on how to seal this properly and make it weather-proof.

Difficult to answer just from looking at photo.
A lead slate made for pipe is the normal method ideally.
Pity that pipe is going down through the roof. Would be better to have it rerouted if feasible.
Is it actually a soil pipe?
Perhaps a temporary fix needed. Denso tape could be used

Also looks like its been botched a few times.
that puddle will cause a few problems unless addressed properly, i would sugest getting a flat roofer in with a guarentee.
Raising a step then flash sealing it.
