I recently had my broken underground clay pipes replaced with PVC leading to the manhole and new slabs installed with channel drains along the boundary of my ground floor flat. However, I am starting to see the water level rise (and sometimes with poo/sewage from inside the pipe that connects beneath the channel drain rise almost to the top of the pipe. This pipe is connected to the SVP pipe below via a triple-socket junction. The pipe bends down and then up. I'm just wondering if the pipework was done correctly by the tradesman. I have notified him of this and he reckons something might have gotten stuck down there when he was digging up my existing paving. He said he would give the pipes a flush when he comes back to do my fencing. I'd appreciate it if I could get some advice on whether the pipework was installed correctly. Image below:

I'm not a drain person myself so i dont really know.
i would have thought though you have a shared drain that belongs to the water company and therier resposibility?
