Hi all.
I need to add a programmer and thermostat to my baxi megaflow gas boiler.
I'm doing level 2 electrical installation in college at the moment so am pretty confident with wiring. My question is, is this job something I can do myself and if so what sort of a job is it?
Many thanks

hi Simon,
if its your boiler and you are 'competant' you can do effectively as you wish.
Adding a thermostat and programmer is simple enough but it will have to meet with current regulations ie weather compensation & correct functioning as you are modifying the exsisting appliance,
Therefore although it is simple electrics the 'scope; lies with a gas registered person unless you meticulously follow current regs & are conversant with them.

Thanks for the reply. So should the my boiler have it's own terminations for a programmer?

yes theres a loop jumper in the mains circuit. download the manual and other wiring diagrams are in the programmer kit.
