Don't try to reuse original pan connector. Avoid the flexible type with concertina type plastics, ( concertina section will harden and eventually split). Use quality, such as McAlpine, with one piece collar. Collars with seal held in place by separate ring are susceptible to movement. If joining pan connector to collar of sewer pipe, necessary to insert short length of plain pipe in collar.
