I’ve been having a few pressure issues with my boiler and the engineer came today and placed a non return valve on the hot water outlet pipe however this doesn’t appear to have solved the issue. Will it cause any harm to the cylinder to have a valve there as it is now leaking slightly each side of the valve?

call your plumber back and tell him its leaking and does not work. you paid for it.

Also be sure to have your cylinder serviced properly using a qualified plumber of unvented hot water systems.
