Hi Jonny. Some were literally needing to be pulled hard to just reach the length and I decided to tighten the valve onto the pipe first, just so the olive was full on before I would put a little strain on valve to connect to radiator.
So a quarter of an inch longer would have helped, but one pipe was half an inch short and I had to lower the rad by drilling brackets lower.
I think the plastic pipes obviously must shrink, as I see no other explanation, but didn't help that the installer has done a poor job
