Hey guys. I have a bit of an issue with my push button valve cistern flush. Basically when I flush it flushes fine but the plastic in the valve unit remains up and doesn't push back down on the rubber valve to stop the water running. If I take the cap off I can gently push the plastic down which pulls on the cable and returns it to it's proper position to stop the water running. Anyone have any idea on what I can do, the cable is in good condition, I am not sure if it is a fault in the valve unit of or they is a way I can improve the cable tention to push it shut. I thought about putting a weight on top of the plastic so there is a pressure pushing down on it to help it return to it's normally position but this is obvs a bit of a bodge.

Isolate water to cistern and flush. Plastic parts should fall back under there own accord after button is released. Return spring broken? Some cables can be retentioned inside the plastic housing under the buttons.
